Applications and Development Trends of Die Casting

Die casting is one of the most advanced metal forming methods, an effective way to achieve minimal or no chips, and has a wide range of applications and rapid development. The size and weight of castings depend on the power of the die casting machine.

As the power of die casting machines continues to increase, the size of castings can range from a few millimeters to 1-2 meters; the weight can range from a few grams to tens of kilograms. Abroad, aluminum castings with a diameter of 2 meters and a weight of 50 kg can be die cast.

Die casting is no longer limited to the automotive and instrument industries, but is gradually expanding to various other industrial sectors, such as agricultural machinery, machine tools, electronics, defense, computers, medical devices, watches, cameras, and daily hardware, encompassing dozens of industries. Specific examples include:

Automotive parts, furniture parts, bathroom accessories, lighting parts, toys, shavers, tie clips, electrical and electronic components, belt buckles, watch cases, metal buckles, locks, zippers, etc.

New processes have emerged in die casting technology, including vacuum die casting, oxygen-enriched die casting, high-speed precision die casting, and the application of soluble cores.

These will significantly promote the development of my country's die casting industry.
