Precautions for Die Casting Forming Conditions
Die casting machine, die casting alloy, and die casting mold are the three essential elements of die casting production, none of which can be omitted. The die casting process organically integrates these three elements to stably, rhythmically, and efficiently produce qualified castings, and even high-quality castings, with good appearance, internal quality, and dimensions conforming to drawings or agreement requirements.
Material melting temperature, mold temperature during injection, and melt temperature are crucial. Finally, the condition of the die-cast product must be adjusted to obtain a perfect part. Principles for selecting the working temperature of the die casting mold:
1) If the mold temperature is too low, the internal structure of the casting is loose, making it difficult for air to escape and hindering molding;
2) If the mold temperature is too high, the internal structure of the casting is dense, but the casting is prone to "welding" to the mold cavity, making it difficult to remove. Excessive temperature also causes the mold itself to expand, affecting the dimensional accuracy of the casting.
3) The mold temperature should be selected within a suitable range. Generally, after testing and finding a suitable temperature, constant temperature control is best. The key considerations for die casting can be summarized into two main aspects: material melting temperature, mold temperature during injection, and melt temperature.
