In a car's steering system, the 10 tooth spur gear has a critical role. It transmits every turn of the steering wheel precisely to the wheels. If this part is not accurate, the driver may feel looseness or hear noise when turning.

Many gears are cut from metal, similar to carving wood. This wastes material and disrupts the metal's natural grain. We take a different approach. Using 20# or 45# steel, we place the material in a 200–500 ton press and apply immense pressure to shape it. This process, called cold forging, preserves the metal fibers, which flow continuously along the gear's shape.

The benefits are clear: each tooth is strong and flexible, like tree roots. Compared to conventional cutting, our cold forging achieves over 90% material utilization, producing almost no waste. At the same time, tensile strength increases by 20–30%. The gear has a denser internal structure and no micro-cracks, giving it a much longer fatigue life.
