Advantages Of Die Casting

The advantages of die casting include excellent dimensional accuracy.

This typically depends on the casting material, with typical values showing an error of 0.1 mm for the initial 2.5 cm dimension, increasing by 0.002 mm for each additional cm.

Compared to other casting processes, it produces castings with smooth surfaces and corner radii of approximately 1-2.5 micrometers. It can produce castings with wall thicknesses of approximately 0.75 mm compared to sand casting or permanent mold casting.

It can directly cast internal structures such as threaded sleeves, heating elements, and high-strength load-bearing surfaces. Other advantages include reduced or eliminated secondary machining, faster production speeds, tensile strengths up to 415 MPa, and the ability to cast highly fluid metals.
