L-Shaped Design with Reinforced Ribs
This top rafter brackets is typically shaped like an "L" or a "U". It is formed in one piece using an 80–100 ton press. At the corners, we add triangular ribs for extra strength.
One side of the top rafter bracket has pre-drilled holes, allowing you to fix it to the rafter using screws or specialized nails. The other side also has holes for securing it to the main roof beam, wall, or top plate.
These triangular ribs are critical. They provide high resistance to shear forces (sliding) and uplift forces (pull-out). When strong winds try to lift the roof, or heavy snow pushes it downward, the ribs prevent the bracket from bending or breaking.

Wood connectors must be extremely strong. That's why we carefully select materials for this top rafter bracket. We use 1.5 mm to 2.0 mm thick Galvalume steel or high-strength structural steel. The exact thickness depends on the load the rafter needs to support.
